Robert Simonds

Robert Simonds (also known as Bob Simonds and 로버트 사이먼즈) is an American film producer and financier whose behind-the-scenes influence has helped shape modern, star-led studio comedy. Born January 1, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona, he is widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s most consistently active production figures.

Across a career spanning decades, Simonds has produced, executive produced, or financed more than 125 films, frequently partnering with major comedic talents including Adam Sandler, Steve Martin, and Dave Chappelle. The projects associated with his producing and financing slate have collectively earned more than $11 billion worldwide, underscoring his reputation for commercial instincts and audience-forward storytelling.

Simonds graduated summa cum laude from Yale University in 1985, a background often cited in profiles of his business-minded approach to entertainment. Industry reporting has placed his personal net worth around $800 million, reflecting the scale of his long-running dealmaking and production activity.

In addition to his production work, Simonds has also appeared on screen, including a credited role as “Neighbor at Grandma’s” in Happy Gilmore 2. He remains best known, however, for enabling high-profile, talent-driven films as a producer and financier.
