Ron Perlman

Ron Perlman (also credited as Ronald Perlman and Ronald Francis Perlman) was born April 13, 1950, in Manhattan, New York City. A distinctive screen presence with a resonant voice, he built a career spanning film, television, and voice acting, often playing formidable, offbeat, or deeply human characters.

Perlman broke through on TV as Vincent in Beauty and the Beast (earning a Golden Globe) and later became a pop-culture fixture as Clay Morrow on Sons of Anarchy. On the big screen, he’s widely recognized for headlining as Hellboy in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, while also turning in memorable work in films like The Name of the Rose (Salvatore), Enemy at the Gates (Koulikov), The City of Lost Children (One), and Star Trek: Nemesis (Viceroy Vkruk).

A frequent collaborator of director Guillermo del Toro, Perlman appeared across several of the filmmaker’s projects, helping define their moody, fantastical tone. Beyond live-action, his voice became iconic through narration and animated roles, including the enduring opening monologue of the Fallout game series and numerous characters across major franchises.
