Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling (also credited as Ryan Thomas Gosling) is a Canadian screen actor born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario. Equally at home in indie dramas and big studio releases, he has built a reputation for ambitious role choices and has earned major industry recognition, including a Golden Globe win and multiple Oscar nominations.

Gosling started acting young, breaking in as a teen on Disney Channel’s The All New Mickey Mouse Club before moving through popular youth TV. His early film momentum included Remember the Titans (as Alan Bosley), followed by a startling, critically praised turn in The Believer as Danny Balint. Mainstream fame arrived with the romantic hit The Notebook, where he played Noah Calhoun.

From there, Gosling kept expanding his range with standout performances in Half Nelson (as Dan Dunne), Lars and the Real Girl (Lars Lindstrom), Fracture (William Beachum), and The Ides of March (Stephen Meyers). Beyond acting, he has explored music with the band Dead Man’s Bones and has also stepped behind the camera as a director.
