Sam Lerner

Sam Lerner (born September 27, 1992, in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor known for blending comedy, coming-of-age drama, and voice performance across film and television. He first drew wide attention as the voice of Chowder in the Oscar-nominated animated feature Monster House, a breakout credit that introduced his energetic, character-driven style to mainstream audiences.

Building on that early momentum, Lerner expanded into live-action roles, including a prominent part in Envy as the son of characters played by Ben Stiller and Rachel Weisz. His film work has continued to span indie and studio projects, with notable appearances in Nobody Walks, Project Almanac (as Quinn Goldberg), and more recent titles such as Susie Searches (as Jesse Wilcox).

On television, Lerner has been featured on popular series including Malcolm in the Middle, The King of Queens, Two and a Half Men, and Sonny With a Chance. He also developed a steady presence in animation, with recurring voice work on Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? and later recording for the Cartoon Network character Zak Saturday in The Secret Saturdays.

For his work in Monster House, Lerner earned an Annie Award nomination for Best Voice Acting in an Animated Feature, underscoring his impact as a young screen performer with range across genres and formats.
