Sam Spruell

Sam Spruell (born January 1, 1977) is a British screen actor from Southwark, London, known for bringing intensity and precision to character-driven films and television. Working across genres from historical drama to modern thrillers, he has built a reputation as a versatile performer with a distinctive on-screen presence.

Spruell’s early film work includes K-19: The Widowmaker as Dmitri, followed by roles in features such as To Kill a King, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and Defiance. He gained wider attention with gritty UK cinema, notably London to Brighton as Stuart Allen, and has continued to take on memorable supporting parts in productions of varying scale.

On television, Spruell has appeared in recurring roles, including Jason Belling in Spooks and Wilkes in P.O.W.. His later credits range from the fantasy blockbuster Snow White and the Huntsman as Finn to projects like Hello Carter, Venus, My Darling Family, and voice work as the narrator in Scale.
