Sana Amanat

Sana Amanat is an American comic book editor and production executive whose work has helped shape modern Marvel storytelling across page and screen. After rising through the editorial ranks at Marvel Comics, she became a key voice in content and character development, helping guide how new heroes are introduced and sustained for global audiences.

Her comics résumé includes influential runs and launches on titles such as Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, and Ms. Marvel. Amanat is especially recognized as the co-creator of Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel—widely noted as the first Muslim-American superhero to headline a solo series in Marvel Comics.

At Marvel Studios, Amanat transitioned into production and development, bringing her editorial instincts to film and television. She has appeared as herself in Marvel-focused documentaries and specials including Celebrating Marvel's Stan Lee, Marvel: 75 Years, from Pulp to Pop!, and Marvel's Behind the Mask.

Her recent screen credits highlight her leadership behind the scenes, including Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Ms. Marvel and Daredevil: Born Again Official Podcast as an executive producer, as well as A Fan's Guide to Ms. Marvel as Ms. Marvel’s comic co-creator and co-executive producer.
