Sarah Esberg
Sarah Esberg is a screen industry executive and producer known for championing filmmaker-led stories across television and film. She serves as president of Drew Goddard’s production company, Goddard Textiles, bringing a track record shaped by her earlier producing and executive work at Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.
Across her career, Esberg has helped steer prestige series and ambitious features alike. Her executive producer credits include Netflix’s The OA and Starz’s Sweetbitter, alongside acclaimed films such as Felix van Groeningen’s Beautiful Boy, Bong Joon Ho’s Okja, and Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk. The throughline in her slate is a focus on distinctive voices and elevated storytelling.
At Goddard Textiles, Esberg is developing projects for Disney’s linear and streaming ecosystem—spanning FX, Hulu, Disney+, and ABC—while also producing multi-genre films. Current work includes the next chapter in Warner Bros.’ The Matrix franchise (with Goddard writing and directing), Project Hail Mary from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller starring Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller, and High Potential starring Kaitlin Olson.
A Stanford University graduate with a UCLA School of Law degree, Esberg began her career in the trenches of low-budget independent filmmaking at Roger Corman’s production company—an early foundation for the wide-ranging slate she oversees today.
