Sarah Sherman

Sarah Sherman (born March 7, 1993, in Long Island, New York) is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter, widely recognized by her stage name Sarah Squirm. She’s built a distinctive on-screen identity through surreal, boundary-pushing comedy that often nods to body-horror imagery, helping her stand out in contemporary sketch and character work.

Sherman reached a major career milestone in October 2021 when she joined NBC’s Saturday Night Live as a featured player for Season 47. Her momentum continued with a promotion to repertory status in October 2023, cementing her place as a prominent voice in modern sketch comedy.

Beyond live television, Sherman’s credits span film, animation, and offbeat projects. She appears in Savasana as “Yoga Girl,” plays Rabbi Rebecca in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, and voices characters including Coriander Cadaverish in Nimona and Miss Sharon/Minivan Mom in Boys Go to Jupiter.
