Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen (born April 15, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian screen artist best known for acting in sharp, character-driven comedies while also building a parallel career as a writer, producer, and director. Over the years, his work has earned major industry recognition, including multiple Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations.

Rogen started out performing stand-up in Vancouver before moving to Los Angeles and landing roles in Judd Apatow’s TV series Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared, where he also wrote. He later joined the writing staff of Da Ali G Show, helping secure an Emmy-nominated season—momentum that pushed him decisively toward film.

After an early appearance in Donnie Darko, he broke out in Apatow’s The 40 Year Old Virgin (as Cal) and became a defining lead of modern studio comedy with Knocked Up (as Ben Stone) and Funny People (as Ira Wright). With longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg, he co-wrote crowd favorites like Superbad (as Officer Michaels) and Pineapple Express (as Dale Denton), later stepping behind the camera on projects including This Is the End and The Interview.

Beyond live-action hits such as Zack and Miri Make a Porno (as Zack) and You, Me and Dupree (as Neil), Rogen has become a sought-after voice performer, including The Super Mario Bros. Movie as Donkey Kong. He also balances comedy with acclaimed dramatic turns and high-profile TV work as a creator and executive producer.
