Shannon Chan-Kent
Shannon Chan-Kent (born September 23, 1988, in Vancouver, Canada) is a Canadian screen, television, and stage performer known for bringing both acting range and musical skill to her roles. Of Chinese and Irish heritage, she has built a career that moves comfortably between live performance and voice work.
Classically trained, Chan-Kent earned a degree in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia—an education that helped shape her distinctive vocal presence. That foundation has made her a natural fit for projects where character and singing intersect.
On screen, she is recognized for parts such as Gina in A Feeling of Home and Janet in Spectacular!. She has also appeared in family-focused titles like Madeline in Tahiti as the voice of Chloe, showcasing her versatility across formats.
Chan-Kent is especially celebrated for voice roles in animation, including the singing voice of Pinkie Pie in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and related specials such as Shake Your Tail and Friendship Through the Ages. Her voice credits also include StarBeam: Beaming in the New Year and Barbie: Princess Charm School as Isla.
