Simu Liu

Simu Liu (born April 19, 1989, in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China) is a Canadian screen actor known for combining sharp comedic timing with blockbuster presence. Raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Liu built a steady rise from Canadian television to global film audiences, becoming a recognizable name across genres.

He first drew wider attention on TV with roles such as Jung Kim in CBC’s Kim’s Convenience and Paul Xie in Omni’s crime drama Blood and Water, work that earned major Canadian award nominations. His international breakthrough arrived when he entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Shang-Chi, launching him into leading-man status.
