Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. on October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California) is a multi-hyphenate screen artist and cultural icon, also known as Snoop Doggy Dogg, Snoop Lion, and Snoop Rock. While celebrated worldwide for his West Coast hip-hop legacy, his on-screen work has made him a familiar presence in film, television, and documentary storytelling.

His rise in the early 1990s—sparked by high-profile collaborations with Dr. Dre—cemented a persona defined by an unhurried vocal style, playful wordcraft, and rhythmic phrasing. That distinctive voice and charisma translated naturally to acting and hosting, allowing him to move between scripted roles and self-referential appearances with ease.

As an actor, Snoop has appeared in notable titles including Training Day (Blue), Bones (Jimmy Bones), and Scary Movie 5 (Marcus). He has also served as a narrator in The L.A. Riot Spectacular and turned his camera-ready charm into hosting work on Snoop & Martha's Very Tasty Halloween.

Across documentaries and concert films—such as Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, Tupac Shakur: Thug Angel, and Kevin Garnett: Anything Is Possible—he often appears as himself, bridging music, sports, and pop culture. With major industry honors and enduring influence, Snoop Dogg remains a singular entertainer whose acting career complements an era-defining musical impact.
