Sophia Lillis
Sophia Lillis (born February 13, 2002, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York City) is an American screen actress recognized for pairing grounded emotion with genre-ready intensity. She broke out as Beverly Marsh in the blockbuster horror hit It (2017) and returned to the role in It: Chapter Two (2019), quickly becoming one of her generation’s most in-demand young performers.
On television, Lillis expanded her range with the Netflix series I Am Not Okay with This (2020), leading as a teenager navigating telekinetic powers and turbulent adolescence. She also appeared in HBO’s psychological thriller miniseries Sharp Objects (2018), playing the younger version of Amy Adams’ character in flashbacks.
Her film work continues to diversify across indie and studio projects, including Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City as Shelly and The Adults as Maggie. Additional credits include Traum, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Rude Elemental), Knight's Camp, Trap House (Deni Matthews), and The Lipstick Stain (Addie), underscoring a career built on versatility and bold choices.
