Stephanie Sigman
Stephanie Sigman (born February 28, 1987, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico) is a Mexican-American screen actress recognized for bringing intensity and emotional clarity to crime thrillers and character-driven dramas. Credited internationally under variations such as Stephanie Sigman-Mendoza, she has built a career that bridges Mexican cinema and major U.S. television.
Her breakout arrived with the 2011 crime drama Miss Bala, where she played Laura Guerrero, a performance that helped introduce her to global audiences. She followed with roles in films including Pioneer (as Maria Salatzar), Flight of the Butterflies (as Catalina Aguado), and genre work such as Annabelle: Creation, while also appearing in titles like Murder City and Morelos.
Sigman expanded her profile on television as Valeria Vélez in the first two seasons of Netflix’s Narcos, and later headlined CBS’s action series S.W.A.T. as Jessica Cortez during its early seasons. Her mainstream visibility rose further with her turn as Estrella in the James Bond film Spectre (2015).
