Stephen Dorff

Stephen Dorff (also credited as Stephen Hartley Dorff Jr.) is an American screen actor born on July 29, 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia. He began working early, breaking out as a child performer before growing into a versatile presence across studio films, indie features, and television.

Dorff first caught wider attention with the cult horror favorite The Gate (as Glen), then built momentum through the 1990s with roles that showcased his range. He gained major mainstream recognition playing the comic-book villain Deacon Frost in Blade, while continuing to balance offbeat and character-driven projects.

Over the years, Dorff has moved comfortably between leading and supporting parts, appearing in titles such as Judgment Night (John Wyatt), World Trade Center (Scott Strauss), Public Enemies (Homer Van Meter), and TV work including True Detective. His filmography also includes genre turns like Space Truckers (Mike Pucci) and dramatic roles in films like Entropy (Jake Walsh) and Traveling Light (Todd).

Known for an intense, grounded style, Dorff remains a recognizable figure in modern American acting—equally at home in action, crime stories, and intimate dramas.
