Sterling K. Brown

Sterling K. Brown (also credited as Sterling K Brown or Sterling Brown) is an American actor born April 5, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri. Celebrated for commanding work across stage, television, and film, he has become one of the most recognizable screen artists of his generation.

Brown’s breakthrough came with his portrayal of Christopher Darden in FX’s The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, a performance that helped earn him major awards attention, including an Emmy. He later anchored NBC’s long-running drama This Is Us as Randall Pearson, a role that further cemented his reputation and brought additional Emmy recognition, while guest turns on comedies like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel showcased his range.

On the big screen, Brown continues to expand his profile, including an Academy Award nomination for his work in American Fiction. His recent and notable credits also include Atlas (as Colonel Elias Banks), The Normal Heart, The Defender, and voice work such as Bug Therapy (Stick Bug).
