Steven Caple Jr.

Steven Caple Jr. (also known as スティーブン・ケイプル・Jr.) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter born in 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio. Emerging from a new wave of filmmaker-storytellers, he has built a career around character-driven drama and energetic studio spectacle.

Caple Jr. broke through with the feature The Land (2016), a grounded coming-of-age story that signaled his interest in authentic, place-specific filmmaking. He quickly expanded his range with projects such as A Different Tree and Prentice-N-Fury's Ice Cream Adventure, establishing himself as a versatile voice across tones and formats.

His mainstream arrival came with Creed II (2018), where he steered the franchise’s emotional legacy while delivering crowd-pleasing momentum. In 2017, Forbes recognized his rapid ascent by naming him to its “30 Under 30” list in Hollywood & Entertainment.

Caple Jr. later stepped into blockbuster territory by directing Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), the seventh live-action entry in the long-running series. He has also appeared as himself in Hollywood Black, reflecting his growing profile within contemporary film and TV culture.
