Teresa Palmer

Teresa Palmer (also credited as Teresa Mary Palmer) is an Australian screen actor born on February 26, 1986, in Adelaide, South Australia. Known for a natural mix of warmth and intensity, she broke through quickly with early film work that showcased both dramatic range and mainstream appeal.

Palmer’s first wave of notable credits includes 2:37 as Melody and studio-facing roles such as Violet Nottingham in Bedtime Stories, Vanessa Cassidy in The Grudge 2, and Lucy in December Boys. She later expanded into fantasy and action, playing Rebecca “Becky” Barnes in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and the formidable Number Six / Maren Elizabeth in I Am Number Four, cementing her as a versatile leading presence.

In the years that followed, Palmer gained wider recognition through a run of high-profile projects including Warm Bodies, Lights Out, Hacksaw Ridge, and Berlin Syndrome. She also stepped behind the camera, co-writing, co-producing, and starring in the drama The Ever After alongside her husband, Mark Webber.

On television, she headlined the supernatural drama series A Discovery of Witches (2018–2022) as Diana Bishop, bringing emotional depth to a genre-spanning story and further broadening her international audience.
