Thom Barry

Thom Barry (also credited as Thom Gross and Thomas Barry) is an American screen actor born on December 6, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known for grounded authority figures and sharp supporting turns, he has built a steady career across studio films and independent projects.

Barry is widely recognized for portraying federal agent Markham Bilkins in The Fast and the Furious and returning to the role in 2 Fast 2 Furious, bringing a no-nonsense presence to the franchise’s early chapters. His film work also includes the action ensemble The Expendables as Tyler and the horror sequel Texas Chainsaw 3D as Sheriff Hooper.

Beyond those high-profile titles, Barry’s credits reflect range and longevity, from sports comedy in Major League: Back to the Minors (Pops Morgan) to genre and thriller entries such as The President's Man: A Line in the Sand (Gen. Gates), The Mannsfield 12 (Officer Evans), and Schemes (Nice Junkman). He is also noted for work as a producer.
