Born on December 20, 1957, in Queenstown, New Zealand, Bevan is widely recognized for shaping audience-friendly films with international reach.
He is best known as the co-chairman of Working Title Films, which he leads alongside producer Eric Fellner. By 2017, projects they co-produced had generated nearly $7 billion worldwide.
Working Title’s impact is also reflected in awards recognition: by 2017, the company’s films had earned 12 Academy Awards and 39 BAFTA wins. Bevan has also appeared on screen in documentary and behind-the-scenes contexts—such as Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel, 100 Films and a Funeral, and There’s Something About Romcoms—and has occasional acting credits including Elizabeth and Being Human.
