Tim Hedrick

Tim Hedrick (also credited as Tim D. Hedrick, Timothy Hedrick, and Timothy D. Hedrick) is an Emmy- and Peabody-winning American writer and producer, born September 1, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois. Known primarily for writing, he has built a career shaping character-driven storytelling across both animation and live-action television.

Across the last two decades, Hedrick has written and produced series for major outlets including NBC, CBS, ESPN, HBO, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and MTV—credits that reflect a versatile voice and an ability to adapt to different genres and audiences. His work is frequently associated with smart, serialized narratives and world-building.

Animation fans especially recognize his contributions to Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. He is also connected to The Legend of Korra as the voice of Roh-Tan, adding an on-screen credit to his writing résumé.

A graduate of the University of Southern California’s Graduate Screenwriting Program, Hedrick is based in Los Angeles, where he continues developing premium TV and animated projects, including head-writer duties on DreamWorks Animation’s Voltron Legendary Defender for Netflix.
