Tom Glynn-Carney
Tom Glynn-Carney (born 7 February 1995) is an English screen and stage actor from Salford, Greater Manchester. Emerging from the UK’s vibrant theatre and film scene, he has built a reputation for intense, character-driven performances across period drama, contemporary stories, and large-scale productions.
He broke through to wider audiences with Christopher Nolan’s WWII epic Dunkirk (2017), playing Peter, and soon after expanded his film résumé with roles in Doing Money (as Sean), Tolkien (as Christopher Wiseman), and The King (as Hotspur). His credits also include Rialto (as Jay), Extinction, Regulars (as Titus), and The Book of Clarence (as Decimus), showcasing a range from intimate drama to ambitious ensemble storytelling.
On stage, Glynn-Carney earned major acclaim for his work in The Ferryman, receiving a Drama Desk Award in 2019. In television, he reached a new level of global recognition portraying Aegon II Targaryen in HBO’s fantasy drama House of the Dragon (2022–present), cementing his status as one of Britain’s notable actors of his generation.
