Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy (born September 15, 1977, in Hammersmith, London) is an English screen actor also credited as Edward Thomas Hardy. Trained at Drama Centre London, he broke into film with Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down (as SPC Lance Twombly), quickly followed by a high-profile turn in Star Trek: Nemesis as Praetor Shinzon.

Hardy’s career is defined by bold, transformative performances across crime, action, and prestige drama. He made an impact in titles such as Layer Cake, RocknRolla (Handsome Bob), and Christopher Nolan’s Inception (Eames), later returning to Nolan’s world in The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk. His work has earned major industry recognition, including an Academy Award nomination and the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
