Tracey Bonner
Tracey Bonner (also credited as Tracey N. Bonner and 트레이시 보너) is an American actor known for grounded, authoritative performances across film and television. Born July 10, 1985, she has become widely recognized for her work on series such as Raising Dion, Sweet Magnolias, and Black Lightning, where her presence blends warmth with steel.
Raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee by two educators, Bonner grew up balancing academics with competitive sports. In high school, a deep dive into Shakespeare and a touring theatre opportunity helped her see acting as more than an interest—it could be a career. That turning point led to rigorous training and extensive stage work around the U.S., even as she continued to excel athletically.
A varsity basketball and softball standout, she earned a full scholarship to Tennessee State University and became an athletic/academic All-American in softball. She studied Speech Communication and Theatre with an English minor, later completing an MFA in Acting at DePaul University’s Theatre School. After 15 years of teaching, she shifted her focus to acting full-time.
Bonner’s screen credits include Copshop (Detective Deena Schier), Girls Getaway Gone Wrong (Detective Lee), The Beanie Bubble (Rose), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (Fridge’s Mom), and Come Sunday (Kiesha).
