Tracie Thoms (also credited as Tracie Nicole Thoms; تریسی تامز) is an American actress and singer born on August 19, 1975, in Baltimore, Maryland. Known for her sharp presence and musicality, she has built a career that moves easily between film, television, and the stage.

Thoms is widely recognized for playing Joanne Jefferson in Rent, a performance that highlighted both her dramatic range and vocal talent.
