Trey Parker
Trey Parker (born October 19, 1969, in Conifer, Colorado) is an American screen artist celebrated for sharp-edged comedy and prolific writing across animation and film. A multi-hyphenate creator—writer, director, producer, performer, and musician—he is best known as the co-creator of South Park, developed with longtime collaborator Matt Stone.
Parker’s early career took shape in the early 1990s with homemade shorts that showcased his irreverent voice and DIY ambition. That momentum carried into his breakout indie feature Cannibal! The Musical, a cult favorite that helped open doors to larger projects and eventually the animated phenomenon that would define his mainstream impact.
As a writer and voice performer, Parker’s range is central to the South Park universe, from South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut to South Park: Post COVID, where he brings multiple characters to life. He also co-created the satirical action comedy Team America: World Police, voicing an array of roles including Gary Johnston and Kim Jong Il, and starred in the superhero spoof Orgazmo.
Over the years, Parker’s work on South Park has earned major industry recognition, including multiple Emmy wins, cementing his reputation as one of modern comedy’s most influential writing voices.
