Um Tae-goo

Um Tae-goo (also credited as Um Tae-gu and Eom Tae-goo; Korean: 엄태구) is a South Korean screen actor born on November 9, 1983, in Seoul. He entered the industry in 2007 and has steadily built a reputation through character-driven work across film and television.

A graduate of Konkuk University’s Film Department, Um became known for scene-stealing supporting roles, bringing intensity and detail to each appearance. His performances have earned recognition and awards attention, notably for films such as The Age of Shadows, The Great Battle, and My Punch-Drunk Boxer.

His recent credits reflect a wide range, from high-profile cinema to genre projects, including Concrete Utopia, Cobweb, and The Witch: Part 2. The Other One, as well as titles like Home Sweet Home and KARMA. Off-screen, he is also known as the younger brother of filmmaker Um Tae-hwa, linking him to a notable creative family in Korean cinema.
