Yasmin Finney

Yasmin Finney (born August 30, 2003, in Manchester, England) is an English actor and online creator who has quickly become one of Britain’s most recognizable young screen talents. Blending a strong digital presence with assured on-screen work, Finney has built a profile that speaks to both mainstream audiences and a new generation of viewers.

Finney broke through internationally as Elle Argent in Netflix’s Heartstopper, a performance that earned a nomination for a Children’s & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance. The role showcased her warmth and precision, helping anchor the series’ emotional realism while expanding her reach across global streaming audiences.

On the BBC’s long-running sci-fi institution Doctor Who, Finney plays Rose Noble, appearing across major chapters including The Legend of Ruby Sunday and Empire of Death, with additional appearances via archive footage in the 60th Anniversary Specials and Doctor Who at the Proms. Her other credits include Mars (as Charlie Acaster), LifeHack (as Alex), and Joe Lycett’s Big Pride Party as herself.
