Yvett Merino (also credited as Yvett Merino Flores) is an American film producer, born on February 11, 1970. Working behind the scenes in production, she has become widely recognized for her role in shaping major studio animation.
Merino is best known as the lead producer of Disney’s Encanto, the celebrated animated feature that introduced audiences to the Madrigal family and a vibrant Colombian-inspired world. As the film’s principal producer, she helped guide the project from development through completion, coordinating the creative and production teams that brought the story to the screen.
Her work on Encanto earned top industry recognition: Merino shared the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature alongside Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and Clark Spencer. The win cemented her place among the notable producers in contemporary animation.
