Zabryna Guevara
Zabryna Guevara (born January 12, 1972, in New York City) is an American screen and stage actress recognized for grounded, authoritative performances across television, film, and theater. Of mixed Hispanic and Black heritage, she has built a career defined by character-driven roles and a steady presence in major studio projects.
She began working on-screen in the late 1990s, including an early appearance on Law & Order and the film The Hotel Manor Inn. Guevara returned to the franchise with guest roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order, before gaining wider attention as Melania Ortiz on the drama series 3 lbs. She later became a familiar face to DC fans as Sarah Essen on Gotham.
Alongside television, Guevara’s film work includes Marley & Me, The Guilt Trip, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Pariah, Irreplaceable You, The Incredible Jessica James, and She Said. On stage, she earned acclaim for playing Yazmin in Quiara Alegría Hudes’ award-winning play Water by the Spoonful at Second Stage Theater, and she is also slated to appear in Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again.
