Amy Pascal

Amy Pascal (also credited as Amy Beth Pascal, born March 25, 1958, in Los Angeles) is an American film producer and entertainment executive whose work has shaped modern studio filmmaking. She rose to the top ranks at Sony Pictures Entertainment, serving as chair of the Motion Pictures Group and later as co-chair overseeing both the film studio and Sony Pictures Television from 2006 to 2015.

Her tenure included steering major production and distribution slates, but it was also marked by the 2014 Sony Pictures cyberattack, which exposed internal correspondence. After the leak drew widespread criticism over emails containing racist remarks, Pascal exited the company and later stated she had been dismissed.

Pascal soon pivoted into independent producing with Pascal Pictures, launching the banner with the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot. She went on to produce high-profile hits and prestige titles, including Spider-Man: Homecoming, Molly’s Game, and The Post, cementing her reputation for balancing blockbuster franchises with awards-focused storytelling.

Her producing has earned major Academy Award recognition, including Best Picture nominations for The Post and Little Women, plus an Animated Feature nomination for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Pascal also appears as herself in several Spider-Man and industry documentaries and talk formats.
