Chris McKenna
Chris McKenna (born December 3, 1969, in Santa Monica, California) is an American screenwriter and producer best known for shaping modern TV comedy and helping steer a major superhero franchise on film.
McKenna built his reputation in television writers’ rooms, contributing to sharp, character-driven series such as American Dad!, Community, and The Mindy Project. His work is often associated with fast-paced humor, ensemble dynamics, and pop-culture savvy storytelling.
He later expanded his reach in feature filmmaking, co-writing entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first Spider-Man trilogy (2017–2021), bringing a youthful tone and grounded comedic voice to the web-slinger’s big-screen adventures.
