Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt (also credited as Christopher Michael Pratt) is an American screen actor born on June 21, 1979, in Virginia, Minnesota. He first gained attention on television, building a reputation for likable, comedic energy and grounded dramatic work.

Pratt’s early breakthrough came with the WB drama Everwood, where he played Bright Abbott, before becoming widely recognized on NBC’s Parks and Recreation (2009–2015). His performance earned strong critical notices and a 2013 Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Alongside TV success, he steadily expanded his film résumé with roles in titles such as Wanted (as Barry) and Moneyball (as Scott Hatteberg), plus comedies including Bride Wars (as Fletcher). In the mid-2010s, Pratt transitioned into leading-man status through major franchise hits, notably voicing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and headlining blockbuster action-adventures.

More recently, he has continued to balance live-action and voice work, including starring as Garfield (voice) in The Garfield Movie, reinforcing his place as a versatile, mainstream Hollywood performer.
