Emily Hampshire
Emily Hampshire (born August 29, 1981, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian-American screen actress known for sharp comedic timing and emotionally precise dramatic work across film, television, and voice acting.
She first drew attention in the late 1990s with a breakout turn as Angelina in the romantic comedy Boy Meets Girl. Hampshire expanded her range on the big screen with roles such as Vivienne Freeman in Snow Cake, Jane Melman in Cosmopolis, and standout parts in films including It’s a Boy Girl Thing, Good Neighbours, The Trotsky, and The Cradle.
On television, she became widely recognized for playing Jennifer Goines on Syfy’s 12 Monkeys and for her fan-favorite performance as Stevie Budd in CBC’s Schitt’s Creek. She has also lent her voice to animation, notably as Misery in YTV’s Ruby Gloom.
In recent years, Hampshire has continued to headline and evolve, taking leading roles in Chapelwaite and the series The Rig, while adding notable film credits such as Appendage and The Mattachine Family. She is also credited under the name امیلی همپشر.
