Ewan Mitchell

Ewan Mitchell (born 8 March 1997 in Derby, Derbyshire) is an English screen actor whose work spans prestige television and contemporary cinema. Known internationally for intense, detail-driven performances, he has built a reputation for bringing edge and emotional clarity to both period drama and modern thrillers.

Mitchell first drew wider attention in the ITV period series The Halcyon (2017), then became a standout presence across multiple seasons of the medieval epic The Last Kingdom (2017–2022). He continued to expand his range in the BBC’s wartime drama World on Fire (2019–) and stepped into global spotlight with HBO’s fantasy phenomenon House of the Dragon (2022–).
