Hugh Jackman
Hugh Jackman (born October 12, 1968, in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian screen and stage star celebrated for his range as an actor, singer, and producer. After early work in theatre and television, he became a global name as Logan/Wolverine, anchoring the X-Men films and later appearing in the wider Marvel universe from X-Men (2000) through Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).
Jackman’s filmography moves easily across genres. He’s played a time-crossed aristocrat in Kate & Leopold, a rival magician in The Prestige, and multiple incarnations of one man’s search for meaning in The Fountain. Other notable credits include Australia, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the mystery Scoop, along with voice roles such as Roddy in Flushed Away and Gabriel Van Helsing in Van Helsing: The London Assignment.
Equally prominent on stage, Jackman has earned major industry recognition, including Tony Awards and an Emmy for hosting the Tony Awards, plus Grammy recognition tied to his musical work.
