Jesse Eisenberg

Jesse Eisenberg (also credited as Jesse Adam Eisenberg) is an American actor, writer, and filmmaker born on October 5, 1983, in New York City. Known for sharp, fast-talking characters and anxious intelligence on screen, he has earned major industry recognition, including multiple Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe nominations.

He first broke out on television with the teen comedy-drama Get Real, then quickly moved into film with a standout lead turn in Roger Dodger. Eisenberg built momentum through acclaimed titles like The Squid and the Whale and mainstream hits such as Adventureland and Zombieland, before reaching global fame as Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher’s The Social Network, a performance that brought him an Academy Award nomination.

His career has ranged from Woody Allen comedies to high-concept thrillers like Now You See Me, while he also stepped into blockbuster territory as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Beyond acting, Eisenberg has voiced animated leads in Rio and expanded into directing and screenwriting, including When You Finish Saving the World and A Real Pain.

Off-screen, he’s an accomplished author and playwright, with work published by The New Yorker and McSweeney’s, several New York stage plays, and the book Bream Gives Me Hiccups.
