John-Henry Butterworth
John-Henry Butterworth (born January 1, 1976, in London, England) is an English screenwriter best known for his work as a co-writer alongside his brother, fellow writer Jez Butterworth. Together, they have developed a reputation for crafting sharp, character-driven scripts across film and television.
A key milestone in Butterworth’s career came with Fair Game (2010), the political thriller based on real events. The screenplay earned the Butterworth brothers the Writers Guild of America’s Paul Selvin Award in 2011, recognizing writing that highlights civil liberties and the public interest.
In addition to narrative screenwriting, Butterworth has also appeared on screen, including a credit as himself in Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford. While he keeps a relatively low public profile, his credits reflect a steady presence in high-profile, story-forward projects.
