John Slattery
John Slattery (also credited as John M. Slattery Jr.) is an American screen actor and director born on August 13, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts. Known for his sharp wit and commanding presence, he became widely recognized for playing Roger Sterling on AMC’s Mad Men, a role that helped cement him as a standout of modern television.
Slattery’s career spans acclaimed series and major studio films, often in parts that blend intelligence with edge. He has appeared as Howard Stark in the Marvel universe, including Iron Man 2, and brought memorable supporting turns to films such as Charlie Wilson’s War (as Cravely) and Clint Eastwood’s WWII drama Flags of Our Fathers (as Bud Gerber). On television, he has also featured in projects like NEXT and The Good Fight, showcasing his range across genres.
