John Thomas

John Thomas, also credited as John C. Thomas (and known in Arabic as جون كلافن توماس), is an American screenwriter based in California. Working closely with his brother, fellow writer Jim Thomas, he became associated with high-concept action storytelling that helped shape late-20th-century studio genre cinema.

Together, the Thomas brothers were key creative forces behind several prominent screenplays, most notably Predator (1987) and its follow-up Predator 2 (1990). Their work extended across major Hollywood productions, including Executive Decision (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Behind Enemy Lines (2001), a film that later expanded into a broader franchise.

Beyond screenplay credits, John Thomas has also appeared via archive footage in retrospective featurettes tied to the Predator legacy, including If It Bleeds We Can Kill It: The Making of 'Predator' and The Hunters and the Hunted: The Making of 'Predator 2', reflecting his lasting connection to the series’ cultural footprint.
