Jonathan Wang

Jonathan Wang (also credited as Wang Qing; Chinese: 王庆/王慶) is a Taiwanese-American film producer recognized for helping bring bold, genre-bending stories to the screen. A long-time creative partner of the directing duo known as the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Wang has become closely associated with their distinctive, inventive filmmaking style.

He started out producing music videos before shifting into features, where he made an immediate impact with Swiss Army Man (2016). The film’s breakout reception included a major directing honor at the Sundance Film Festival, signaling Wang’s arrival as a producer willing to champion unconventional projects.

Wang’s profile rose even further with Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), a landmark hit that became A24’s top-grossing release and earned him the Academy Award for Best Picture as a producer. He has also appeared on screen as himself in documentary-style projects such as The New Face of Hollywood – A Soul of a Nation Presentation and Almost Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Everything Everywhere All at Once.
