Lars Brygmann

Lars Brygmann (born February 17, 1957, in København, Danmark) is a Danish screen and stage actor known for bringing grounded intensity and dry wit to both drama and dark comedy. With a career spanning decades, he has become a familiar presence in Scandinavian cinema, often playing authoritative figures, conflicted fathers, and sharply observed everyday men.

Among Brygmann’s notable film credits is Camino, where he appears as Jan, and Stealing Rembrandt as Mick. He also features in Terribly Happy as Dr. Zerleng and in White Night as Ulrich Nymann, performances that underline his ability to anchor tense stories with credibility and restraint.

His versatility extends to character-driven projects such as Someone Like Hodder (as Hodder’s Father) and Triple Dare (as Rebekkas far), while his voice work includes narrating Woyzeck's Last Symphony. More recently, he appears in Tove’s Room as Victor Andreasen, continuing a steady run of acclaimed Danish productions.

Also known internationally by the Arabic rendering لارس برایگمن, Brygmann remains a respected figure in Danish acting, valued for performances that feel lived-in, precise, and emotionally truthful.
