Murray Bartlett

Murray Bartlett (born March 20, 1971, in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian screen actor celebrated for charismatic, emotionally precise performances across film and prestige television. Working internationally, he has built a reputation for playing complex men with warmth, volatility, and sharp comic timing.

Bartlett’s global breakthrough came with HBO’s The White Lotus (2021), where his turn as a high-end resort manager earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. He followed that success with acclaimed roles as Nick De Noia in Hulu’s Welcome to Chippendales (2022) and as Frank in HBO’s The Last of Us episode “Long, Long Time” (2023), receiving Emmy nominations for both performances.

His television résumé also includes the HBO comedy-drama Looking (2014–2015), Netflix’s Tales of the City (2019), and Apple TV+’s Physical (2021–2023). On film, he appears in titles such as Girl Most Likely (as James Whitney) and genre projects including Needle (as Tony Martin) and O’Dessa (as Plutonovich).

Also credited as Murray Bartlet and known internationally as 穆雷·巴特利特 and موری بارتلت, Bartlett continues to expand a standout body of work that bridges indie cinema and award-winning series.
