Owen Cooper
Owen Cooper (also credited as Owen Patrick Cooper) is an English screen actor born on 5 December 2009 in Warrington, Cheshire. Emerging as a standout young performer, he has quickly become one of the most talked-about new faces in British television.
Cooper broke through internationally with his debut screen role in Netflix’s 2025 limited series Adolescence, playing Jamie Miller, a teenager at the center of a high-profile murder case. The performance drew widespread acclaim and translated into major awards recognition, including a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie—making him the youngest male winner in that category—alongside Golden Globe and SAG (Actor) honors for the same role.
Building on that momentum, he has expanded his credits with roles such as Young Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights and William in Foxfinder, as well as projects like Cry to Heaven. He has also appeared as himself on programs including The One Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Emmy Awards, reflecting his growing profile.
With a high-impact debut and a fast-growing filmography, Cooper is widely viewed as a rising talent to watch across UK and international productions.
