Sam Worthington
Sam Worthington (born August 2, 1976, in Godalming, Surrey, England) is an Australian screen actor best known for leading big-scale franchises with a grounded, physical intensity. He rose to global prominence as Jake Sully in James Cameron’s Avatar films, and quickly became a go-to presence for action-driven drama through roles like Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation and Perseus in Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans.
Beyond blockbusters, Worthington has built a varied filmography that leans into tense, character-focused storytelling. He has appeared in projects such as The Debt, Everest, Hacksaw Ridge, The Shack, Manhunt, and the thriller Fractured, while also taking on earlier standout work including Bootmen, Dirty Deeds, Gettin’ Square, and Rogue.
