Sarik Andreasyan
Sarik Andreasyan (also credited as Sarik Andreasjan; Russian: Сарик Андреасян; Armenian: Սարիկ Գառնիկի Անդրեասյան) is a Russian-Armenian director, producer, and screenwriter born on August 24, 1984, in Yerevan, then part of the Armenian SSR, USSR. Working across film and advertising, he became a prominent figure in mainstream Russian-language entertainment through a steady run of crowd-pleasing releases.
Andreasyan is closely associated with the studio world he helped build. He founded Enjoy Movies, later departing in 2017 to launch a new banner, Bolshoe Kino (“Big Movies”). In 2020, he and his brother moved on again, establishing K.B.A. studio—another step in a career defined by entrepreneurial momentum as much as directing.
His early period leaned heavily into accessible, low-budget comedy, with commercial successes that boosted his profile. From the mid-2010s, Andreasyan increasingly shifted toward larger-scale genres—science fiction, action, and drama—an evolution that brought higher ambitions and bigger budgets.
Critical response to his filmography has often been mixed to negative in Russian media, though select projects drew warmer notices, including the drama Earthquake and the Moms anthology films. Among his recognizable credits are What Men Do! 2, Stooges, and appearances in titles such as Comedy Club and What Happened Next?.
