Wrenn Schmidt

Wrenn Schmidt (also credited as Melinda Wrenn Schmidt) is an American screen actress born on February 18, 1983, in Lexington, South Carolina. Known for intelligent, grounded performances, she has built a career spanning prestige television and independent film, often portraying characters with quiet authority and emotional complexity.

Schmidt is widely recognized for her breakout work on Apple TV+’s For All Mankind, where she plays NASA engineer and flight director Margo Madison, a role that became a defining showcase of her range. On television, she has also appeared as Julia Sagorsky in Boardwalk Empire, the KGB handler Kate in The Americans, Dr. Iris Campbell in Person of Interest, and Megan Holter in the horror series Outcast.

Her film credits include the thriller Preservation (as Wit Neary), the music biopic I Saw the Light (as Bobbie Jett), and Jordan Peele’s genre-bending hit Nope (as Amber Park). She has also featured in titles such as Our Idiot Brother (Beth), The Starling Girl (Heidi Starling), Nuremberg (Elsie Douglas), How to Follow Strangers (Shelly), and Xeno (Linda).
