Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz (also known as Cameron Michelle Diaz) is an American screen artist born on August 30, 1972, in San Diego, California. With a career spanning broad comedy, romance, and drama, she became one of the defining Hollywood stars of the late 1990s and 2000s, earning major award nominations and a reputation as a consistent box-office draw.

Diaz first broke through with her film debut in The Mask, playing Tina Carlyle, after beginning her professional life in modeling. She quickly proved her range, balancing mainstream hits with riskier, character-driven work—most notably There’s Something About Mary as Mary Jensen and Spike Jonze’s inventive Being John Malkovich as Lotte Schwartz.

Her filmography includes warm romantic leads like Amanda Woods in The Holiday and dramatic turns such as Sara Fitzgerald in My Sister’s Keeper. Diaz also became a beloved voice performer as Princess Fiona in Shrek and Shrek Forever After. She has appeared as herself as well, including an uncredited spot in Teenage Paparazzo.
