Dexter: Resurrection

Dexter: Resurrection (2025) doesn’t waste time easing back into familiar territory. Dexter Morgan opens his eyes after a coma to discover the one person he can’t afford to lose—Harrison—is gone. The shock lands harder than any threat: this time, the missing piece isn’t a mystery to solve for sport, but a consequence to face.

Haunted by the damage he’s left in his wake, Dexter heads to New York City, driven by a rare urgency to repair what he broke. The city’s scale and anonymity make it a perfect hiding place—and a perfect trap. In a landscape of crowded streets and private shadows, the series leans into its crime-drama pulse while letting the emotional stakes do the cutting.

But the past doesn’t stay buried for long. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista turns up with pointed questions, Dexter realizes the old life he tried to outrun is closing in again. The pressure isn’t just legal; it’s personal, forcing Dexter to confront how many stories he’s told himself to survive—and what those stories cost the people closest to him.

With Michael C. Hall returning at the center, the new chapter surrounds Dexter with a compelling ensemble, including Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, James Remar, and Brian Cox. Their presence signals a bigger, sharper arena where power, influence, and obsession can be as dangerous as any blade. New York isn’t simply a backdrop—it’s an engine that accelerates every secret.

At its core, Dexter: Resurrection is about two people trying to navigate their own darkness without letting it swallow them whole. Father and son are pulled toward each other by unfinished business and hard truths, and the series teases a grim possibility: the only way through this city’s night may be to face it together.
